The Haile Legacy
Many years ago, Carol and Ralph established their Foundation to facilitate their annual giving. But they also wanted the Foundation to be the steward of their wealth, to ensure the funds would be used to improve the communities they loved and cherished. Upon Ralph’s death in 2006, the Foundation was funded by his estate and we began our journey of developing funding strategies that align with the Hailes’ passions in four areas:
Arts and Culture
We will build on the base of Carol’s involvement with many arts groups to support, develop and expand our rich cultural resources in all corners of our region.
Civic and Community
Ralph was a cheerleader for revitalization and growth, especially in Northern Kentucky. Inspired by his vision and enthusiasm, we will work to strengthen urban neighborhoods, build a vital workforce and encourage entrepreneurship and innovation.
Education
Both Carol and Ralph felt strongly that education was the key to ensuring quality of life. We will support those education initiatives that bring about systemic change along the cradle to career continuum, provide educational outreach opportunities to our underserved students and bring about positive impact across the region for all children.
Human Services
The Hailes were vigilant about helping to meet basic human needs in the community and aiding families to attain economic stability. We will continue supporting organizations with these goals.
